I’m a writer, author, editor, journalist and lecturer.
A published and produced writer in print and theatre, I also work as a literary and commercial editor for UK and US authors, agents and publishers. Recent highlights include working with Israeli-British illusionist Uri Geller on his best-selling oracle (Watkins Publishing) and with composer Rachel Fuller on The Seeker (Whitefox Publishing), a graphic novel adaptation of GermanSwiss poet and novelist Hermann Hesse’ classic Siddhartha, that birthed an orchestral adaption with music by Pete Townshend featuring narration by Christopher Plummer and performances from Elton John and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
I was delighted that my short film script The Cycle came runner up in the UK Women Over Fifty Film Festival in 2024 and was selected for London and New York film festivals in 2025.

I’ve an MA in TV scriptwriting from De Montfort University and was one of 16 professional writers selected for North West scheme Writerslab, where I wrote an original crime drama series script mentored by tv executive Richard Fee at Red Productions and was lucky enough to be mentored by one of the greats (!), award winning tv screenwriter and producer Paul Abbott (Touching Evil, Clocking Off, State of Play, Shameless, Hit & Miss, No Offence).
Previous work includes a writer in residence for Nottingham Theatre Writing Partnerships, mentoring playwrights, and an associate artist at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate Theatres, devising community theatre. I’ve had short stories, comedy monologues and poetry published in anthologies. Contributions include Writing for Reading Aloud edited by poet and writer Deborah Tyler-Bennett and In The Beginning edited by writer Mystie Hood, produced by Crystal Clear Creators.
In a previous life, I worked as a journalist for national TV, newspapers and magazines for more than 25 years. Work ranges from helping launch a women’s supplement for Express Newspapers, interviewing influencers and celebrities for publications from The Mirror to news agencies like Press Association. I’ve written travel features, comment pieces, investigative reports, news backgrounders along with arts reviews for theatre, music and film. I’ve also taught creative writing at universities and prisons.
